Austrian Working Group for Coloproctology

The Austrian Working Group for Coloproctology (ACP) was established in 1993 as a subgroup of the Austrian Surgical Association and represents an international platform on both the scientific and clinical level. On the one hand, in response to the increasing specialization in different fields of surgery, and on the other, with the aim of establishing uniform quality criteria and providing training and continuing professional education. We arrange rotations and organize scientific sessions at the yearly Austrian Surgical Congress, organize papers of consent and take part in formulation of guidelines. Dear colleagues!

in Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck, we organize ever year for the ‘training certificate in coloproctology’, which was established as evidence that a surgeon has successfully completed a structured program in coloproctology. Furthermore, the ‘Training Certificate’ can be used as one qualification criterion for the European Specialty Board Examination (EBSQ) Coloproctology. Our goal is to nourish the close and fertile contacts we have established with partners worldwide. Become a member of the ACP Network Program, and you will realize all the benefits of the global network. We look forward to lively discussions with you and hope to welcome you soon as a member. Enjoy these pages!

Sincerely,
Irmgard E. Kronberger, MD
